DC1423A

DC1423A demonstration circuit is a DC/DC boost converter for APD Bias featuring the LT3571 in 3mm x 3mm QFN package. This demo board is designed to convert a 5V-12V source to 50V at 2mA. The demo board includes a fast transient response test circuit on the back side. Remove C4 for fast transient evaluation. To control the output voltage via the CTRL pin, remove R6. The circuit is designed for 1MHz operation but can be easily programmed for any frequency between 250KHz and 2MHz. The LT3571 features a 75V, 350mA switch, integrated diode, and high side current monitor which provides a current proportional to the APD current. Other features include frequency synchronization, programmable current limit protection and internal soft-start. This circuit is specifically designed for APD bias and is optimized for performance, solution size and profile. Typical applications include APD bias, PIN diode bias, optical receivers and modules, fibre optic network equipment etc.
