The SMBJ17A from Littelfuse is a 600W, unidirectional transient voltage suppression diode in DO-214AA package. It features excellent clamping capability, low incremental surge resistance, low profile package, built-in strain relief and fast response time. The SMBJ is designed specifically to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It is ideal for the protection of I/O Interfaces, VCC bus and other vulnerable circuits.
