AD5291BRUZ-50

AD5291 is a single channel 256 position digital potentiometer. It combines industry leading variable resistor performance with non-volatile memory (NVM) in a compact package. It has industry leading low resistor tolerance error feature which simplifies open-loop applications as well as precision calibration and tolerance matching applications. It has wiper settings which are controllable through the SPI digital interface. Unlimited adjustments are allowed before programming the resistance value into the 20-TP memory. This digital potentiometer is widely used in application such as mechanical potentiometer replacement, instrumentation: gain and offset adjustment, programmable voltage-to-current conversion, programmable filters, delays, and time constants, programmable power supply, low resolution DAC replacement, sensor calibration etc.

• Maximum ±1% nominal resistor tolerance error (resistor performance mode)
• Rheostat mode temperature coefficient is 35ppm/°C
• Voltage divider temperature coefficient is 1.5ppm/°C
• Single-supply operation is +9V to +33V, dual-supply operation is ±9V to ±16.5V
• SPI-compatible serial interface, power dissipation is 8µW at (9VIH = 5V or VIL = GND)
• Wiper setting readback, bandwidth is 210kHz at (RAB = 50Kohm)
• Power-on refreshed from 20-TP memory
• Operating temperature range is -40°C to +105°C
• Packaging style is 14-lead TSSOP
