ADAQ7988 is a 16bit analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) μModule® data acquisition systems that integrate four common signal processing and conditioning blocks into a system in package (SiP) design that supports a variety of applications. This device contains the most critical passive components, eliminating many of the design challenges associated with traditional signal chains that use successive approximation register (SAR) ADC. These passive components are crucial to achieving the specified device performance. The ADAQ7988 contain a high accuracy, low power, 16bit SAR ADC, a low power, high bandwidth, high input impedance ADC driver, a low power, stable reference buffer and an efficient power management block. Typical application includes automated test equipment (ATE), battery powered instrumentation, communications, data acquisition, process control and medical instruments.

- Throughput of 500KSPS and INL of ±8ppm typical and 20ppm maximum
- SNR of 91.5dB typical at 10KHz (unity gain) and THD of -105dB at 10KHz
- Zero error of ±0.06mV typical (unity gain) and zero error temperature drift of 1.3µV/°C max
- Low power dissipation, 16.5mW typical at 500KSPS
- Flexible power-down modes
- 24 lead LGA package, operating temperature range from -55°C to 125°C
