ADIS16500 is a precision, miniature micro electro mechanical system (MEMS) inertial measurement unit (IMU) that includes a triaxial gyroscope and a triaxial accelerometer. The factory calibration characterizes each sensor for sensitivity, bias, alignment, linear acceleration (gyroscope bias), and point of percussion (accelerometer location). As a result, each sensor has dynamic compensation formulas that provide accurate sensor measurements over a broad set of conditions. It provides a simplified, cost effective method for integrating accurate, multiaxis inertial sensing into industrial systems, especially when compared with the complexity and investment associated with discrete designs. It is used in application like navigation, stabilization, and instrumentation, unmanned and autonomous vehicles, smart agriculture and construction machinery, factory/industrial automation, robotics, virtual/augmented reality, internet of moving things.

• Gyroscope dynamic range is ±2000°/sec minimum, 19,600m/sec² mechanical shock survivability
• Gyroscope in run bias stability is 8.1°/hr typ at (TC = 25°C)
• Gyroscope angular random walk is 0.29°/√hr typ at ((TC= 25°C)
• Accelerometer dynamic range is ±392m/sec² min at (TC) = 25°C)
• Factory calibrated sensitivity, bias, and axial alignment
• SPI compatible data communications, programmable operation and control
• Automatic and manual bias correction controls
• External sync modes: direct, scaled, and output, on demand self-test of inertial sensors
• On demand self-test of flash memory, single-supply operation (VDD) is 3V to 3.6V
• Operating temperature is -25°C to +85°C, package style is 100-ball ball grid array module [BGA]
