MAX1183ECM+D

The MAX1183ECM+D is a dual, 10bit, low power analogue to digital converter (ADC) with internal reference and parallel outputs in 48 pin TQFP package. It has fully differential wideband track and hold inputs (T/H), driving two pipelined and nine stage ADCs. The MAX1183 is optimized for low power, high dynamic performance applications. This ADC consumes only 120mW while delivering typical signal to noise ratio (SNR) of 59.6dB at an input frequency of 20MHz and sampling rate of 40Msps. The T/H driven input stages incorporate 400MHz (-3dB) input amplifiers. The converters may also be operated with single ended inputs. It has parallel, CMOS compatible three state outputs. The digital output format can be set to two’s complement or straight offset binary through single control pin. The device provides for a separate output power supply of 1.7V to 3.6V for flexible interfacing. It is used in I/Q channel digitization and multichannel IF sampling ultrasound applications.

• User selectable output format, two’s complement or offset binary
• ±0.5LSB integral nonlinearity, ±0.25LSB differential nonlinearity and less than ±1%FS offset error
• Maximum clock frequency of 40MHz, small signal bandwidth of 500MHz & full power bandwidth of 400MHz
• Power dissipation of 120mW (operating), 8.4mW (sleep mode) and 3μW (shutdown mode)
