The MAX548ACPA+ is a low power, dual, 8bit voltage output DAC in 8 pin DIP package. This digital to analogue converter (DAC) operates from a dual +2.5V to +5.5V supply. The operating current (supply current plus reference current) is typically 150μA per DAC with VDD = 2.5V. In shutdown, the DAC is disconnected from the reference reduces drain current to less than 1μA and allows each DAC to be shut down independently. The 10MHz, 3 wire serial interface is compatible with SPI/QSPI and Microwire interface standards. Double-buffered inputs provide flexibility when updating the DACs, the input and DAC registers can be updated individually or simultaneously. Typical applications include battery-powered systems, VCXO control, comparator level settings, GaAs amp bias control and digital gain and offset control.
