The Q6040J7TP is a 40A Alternistor TRIAC designed for AC switching and phase control applications. This Teccor® Thyristor only operates in quadrants I, II and III. It is used in circuits requiring high dV/dt capability. It is also used in applications with extremely inductive loads requiring highest commutation performance.
