AD5348 is an octal 12-bit, DAC. This device incorporate an on-chip output buffer that can drive the output to both supply rails, and also allow a choice of buffered or unbuffered reference input. This device have a parallel interface. CS selects the device and data is loaded into the input registers on the rising edge of WR. A readback feature allows the internal DAC registers to be read back through the digital port. Input data to the DACs is double-buffered, allowing simultaneous update of multiple DACs in a system using the LDAC pin. This device also incorporate a power-on reset circuit that ensures that the DAC output powers on to 0V and remains there until valid data is written to the device. It is widely used in application such as portable battery-powered instruments, digital gain and offset adjustment, programmable voltage and current sources, optical networking, automatic test equipment, mobile communications, programmable attenuators, industrial process control etc.
- Low power operation is 1.4mA (max) at 3.6V
- Power-down to 120nA at 3V, 400nA at 5V
- Guaranteed monotonic by design over all codes
- Rail-to-rail output range is 0V to VREF or 0V to 2 × VREF
- Power-on reset to 0V
- Asynchronous active-low CLR facility, readback
- Buffered/unbuffered reference inputs
- 20ns active-low WR time
- Relative accuracy is ±2LSB typ, operating temperature is -40°C to +105°C
- Package style is 40-lead lead frame chip scale package [LFCSP-WQ]
