AD5428 is a dual channel, 8-bits, current output digital-to-analogue converter (DAC). It operates from a 2.5V to 5.5V power supply, making it suitable for battery-powered and other applications. As a result of being manufactured on a CMOS submicron process, it offer excellent 4-quadrant multiplication characteristics, with large signal multiplying bandwidths of upto 10MHz. The applied external reference input voltage (VREF) determines the full-scale output current. An integrated feedback resistor (RFB) provides temperature tracking and full-scale voltage output when combined with an external I-to-V precision amplifier. It is widely used in application such as portable battery-powered applications, waveform generators, analogue processing, instrumentation applications, programmable amplifiers and attenuators, digitally controlled calibration, programmable filters and oscillators, composite video, ultrasound, gain, offset, and voltage trimming etc.
