AD5662 is a low power, single, 16bit buffered voltage-out DAC that operates from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply and is guaranteed monotonic by design. It requires an external reference voltage to set the output range of the DAC. The part contains a power-down feature that reduces the current consumption of the device to 480nA at 5V and provides software-selectable output loads while in power-down mode. The low power consumption of this part in normal operation makes it ideally suited to portable battery-operated equipment. The power consumption is 0.75mW at 5V, going down to 2.4μW in power-down mode. It is used in applications such as process control, data acquisition systems, portable battery-powered instruments, digital gain and offset adjustment, programmable voltage and current sources, programmable attenuators etc.

- Total harmonic distortion is -80dB typical at (VREF = 2V ± 300mV p-p, f = 5KHz)
- Operating temperature is -40°C to +125°C, package style is 8-lead SOT-23
