HMCAD1520 is a versatile high performance low power analogue-to-digital converter (ADC), with interleaving high speed modes to increase sampling rate. Integrated cross point switches activate the input selected by the user. In single channel mode, one of the four inputs can be selected as valid input to the single ADC channel. In dual channel mode, any two of the four inputs can be selected to each ADC channel. In quad channel mode and precision mode, any input can be assigned to any ADC channel. Typical applications includes precision oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, diversity receivers, Hi-end ultrasound, communication testing and non destructive testing.
- High speed modes (12bit/8bit) quad channel mode: FSmax = 160/250MSPS
- SNR is 70dB, SFDR is 60/75dB (12bit 1ch Mode), SNR of 74/72.5dB, SFDR of 83/72.5dB at 70/140MHz
- Precision mode (14bit), four channels up to 105MSPS
- Internal low jitter programmable clock divide
- Ultra low power dissipation is 490mW including I/O at 12bits, 640MSPS
- 0.5µs start-up time from sleep, 15µs from power down
- Internal reference circuitry with no external components required, coarse and fine gain control
- Digital fine gain adjustment for each ADC, internal offset correction, serial LVDS/RSDS output
- 1.8V supply voltage and 1.7 to 3.6V CMOS logic on control interface pins
- 48 lead QFN package, operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
